Cristiano Ronaldo denies 'fictitious' claims he paid woman £300k for silence over rape allegations

Claims that Cristiano Ronaldo paid a woman £300,000 to keep quiet over rape allegations were furiously denied by the soccer star’s agents yesterday.

Aides said reports of an assault days after he moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid were “fiction”.

They rejected claims that the striker paid her off a year after the alleged incident in a Las Vegas hotel room in June 2009.

The woman, then in her mid-20s, is reported to have made the allegations in a letter but the agents say Ronaldo has never seen it.

But Gestifute, a soccer management company founded by super agent Jorge Mendes, refuted the “disgusting and outrageous accusation”.
