How Cristiano Ronaldo kept Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League title race
Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia hasn’t gone quite as smoothly as he probably would have hoped.
The former Real Madrid attacker was paraded to huge fanfare by Al Nassr in January but hasn’t had his troubles to seek for most of his time in the Saudi Pro League.
But while Ronaldo’s strike keeps Al Nassr in the title race, their destiny is still very much out of their own hands.
Both teams will fancy their chances of winning their last two fixtures against mid-table and bottom half opposition, so the Riyadh-based side need a favour. Well, two favours, in fact.
The pair drew 0-0 at Al Awwal before Ronaldo arrived in October, while Nuno’s men won 1-0 in the return fixture in Jeddah in March.
